What Are ClickFunnels 2.0 Order Bumps, Upsells & OTO?
Order bumps, upsells, and one-time offers (OTO) are all sales tactics that you can deploy in order to increase the value of the original sale and enhance the purchase for the customer.
Order bumps and upsells are offered before the customer adds their payment details and completes their purchase. OTOs are offered after the customer has completed their initial purchase.
ClickFunnels 2.0 Order Bumps
An order bump is offered before the customer completes their original purchase, typically on the checkout page itself.
It consists of an additional product (usually of a lower value) that the customer can add on and buy.
For example, if you are selling a course on how to cultivate a thriving vegetable garden, an order bump could be an ebook on gardening hacks.
ClickFunnels 2.0 Upsells
An upsell is also offered before the customer completes their initial purchase and provides a way to upgrade the purchase to something of a higher value.
For example, if you are selling access to a live online summit, you can offer a VIP package as an upsell.
Or, if you’re selling tutor-led courses, an upsell could be offering a premium level of support to students.
ClickFunnels 2.0 OTO
An OTO is offered after the customer has completed their initial purchase and provides an incentive for them to make an additional purchase.
OTOs are typically time sensitive and provide a very short window in which the customer can purchase the offer for the displayed price.
For example, if you have a series of courses available, a customer may purchase the first one in the series.
Then, the next course in the series could be displayed as an OTO at a special rate that is unavailable anywhere else.
Why Use ClickFunnels 2.0 Order Bumps, Upsells & OTO?
The ultimate aim of using order bumps, upsells, and OTOs is to increase the value of the sale and thus increase your revenue.
They are effective sales tactics that make the customer feel like they are getting a great deal without spending too much money.
By catching the customer while they’re in the mood to purchase, it’s more likely they can be convinced to make a second purchase.
This is instead of later down the line when they may have lost momentum and cooled off on the idea or perhaps don’t have as much spare cash to spend.
And as you will see further down in the article, they don’t take too much effort to add to your ClickFunnels 2.0 funnels.
How to Create a ClickFunnels 2.0 Order Bump (Step by Step)
Step 1: Create a sales funnel however you would normally. To add an order bump, the page must contain a checkout/order page. Any of the ClickFunnels 2.0 sales funnel “recipes” will work for this purpose.
Step 2: On the funnel overview page, you will notice your checkout page has an orange triangle displayed. This means you have not yet assigned a product to the page. Click on the triangle to continue.
Step 3: A side menu will open on the right-hand side. Here you will notice a button saying “Add product” and a section below called “Order bump.” Click on “Add product.”
Step 4: All your created products will be displayed. Select one that will be your main offer. Then, repeat step 3 and select a product to use for your order bump.
Step 5: To turn one of the products into a bump, simply select it and drag and drop it into the “Order bump” box below. Then, go in and edit the checkout page as you wish.
Now, the order bump will be displayed with an “Add” button whenever a customer has completed their contact details on the checkout page.
How to Create a ClickFunnels 2.0 Upsell (Step by Step)
Step 1: To start, you need a sales funnel that contains a checkout/order page. On the funnel steps overview screen, locate and click the orange triangle on the checkout/order step.
Step 2: From the side menu that appears, click on “Select product.” A pop-up will appear with all your available products. Choose the product you want to use for your initial offer.
Now, repeat this step and choose the product you want to use for your upsell.
Step 3: You will now see both products displayed on the right-hand screen. Make sure the upsell is displayed below the initial offer. If it isn’t, you can drag and drop it into the correct position.
Step 4: Finally, go and edit the checkout page as you would normally. You can take a look in preview mode and see that two options are presented on the checkout page. The customer can either select the initial offer or they can choose the upsell option.
How to Create a ClickFunnels 2.0 OTO (Step by Step)

Step 4: Once you have chosen a template, add the page name and description in the boxes provided. Then, scroll down and select “Create page.”
Step 5: Back on the funnel steps overview screen, your newly created OTO page will be displayed. Click on the orange triangle and select “Add product” from the menu that appears.
