Deciding between Kajabi or GrooveFunnels is probably going to come down to what you need it to do for your business.

- Modern and easy-to-use user interface
- Podcasters are fully catered for with a dedicated podcast area
- No transaction or store fees on all plans

- Unlimited funnels, products, and pages
- More payment options support
- Live chat support available seven days a week
We think that GrooveFunnels is going to be a great option for those users that need to get the maximum number of funnels, webpages, and automations, while keeping the cost as low as possible.
On the other hand, we think that Kajabi is ideal for users who want to have a more polished, user-friendly experience. The dashboard design and the included toolset mean that whatever online business you want to create, the tools are there.
Key Takeaways:
- If you are trying to keep your business cost low, GrooveFunnels could be the perfect platform to use. Its annual subscription costs are some of the lowest around and with a free plan for life that has everything a small business needs, GrooveFunnels is tough to beat.
- Kajabi is the best option for users that have little to no experience and would prefer a more guided experience during the business set up. Although it’s more expensive than its rivals, users will enjoy a much more modern and professional experience and broader collection of built-in tools.

After performing extensive research on each of the platforms and what they both have to offer users, we don’t think it’s as clear-cut as the customer rating implies.
We believe that both have their place, and the one you decide to use will come down to the business you want to create.

Your budget is likely to be one of the most important factors when it comes to choosing which platform is the best for you and your next online business. With that in mind, we’ve put together a comprehensive comparison of any and all costs that you might encounter with each of the different plans that Kajabi and GrooveFunnels has to offer to subscribers.
We’re going to start with what’s likely to be the biggest expenditure first (monthly and annual costs), and then we’ll take a look at any additional costs that you might run into (transaction and store fees), before we wrap up with a look at any discounts or special offers that you might be able to take advantage of and save yourself some money.
Monthly Pricing Comparison

Middle Plan | $199/month (Growth) | $199/month (Pro) |
Higher Plan | $399/month (Pro) | $299/month (Premium) |
Right out of the gate, we can see that both platforms have very similar pricing to each other with the starting and middle tier plans priced identically.
The highest-tiered plan is where we see that the monthly price of each platform diverges, with GrooveFunnels’ top-tiered plan coming at $100 less. Those are some huge savings, especially when you extend that over multiple months.
Annual Pricing Comparison
Kajabi | GrooveFunnels | |
---|---|---|
Free Plan | ❌ Unavailable | ✅ Available |
Starting Plan | $119/month or $1428/year providing a 20% discount (Basic) | $42/month or $497/year providing a 70% discount (Creator) |

Higher Plan | $319/month or $3828/year providing a 20% discount (Pro) | $99/month or $1,188/year providing a 67% discount (Premium) |
Both platforms offer very generous savings on annual plans, with Kajabi giving a very welcome 20% discounts on all tiers of annual plans. GrooveFunnels’ annual subscription discounts are even more generous, with the starting tier plan, Creator, getting a massive 70% off!
GrooveFunnels’ other big plus is that there is a free plan-for-life option available. Yes, there are a number of limitations that the paid plans don’t have. However, if you are starting small, then it could have everything you need to get started.

At a glance, this may appear to be a runaway victory for GrooveFunnels, yet there are some caveats that potential subscribers should be aware of.
Users are limited to sending a maximum of 50,000 (monthly) or 100,000 (annual) emails in a given month, can only have 25 videos uploaded at one time, and are restricted to three automated webinars.
As far as we can tell, these restrictions don’t apply to the comparable Kajabi Basic plan. Kajabi monthly users will also be able to utilize a far larger contact list of 10,000 compared to GrooveFunnels’ monthly subscribers, 5,000.
Kajabi Growth vs GrooveFunnels Pro

The middle tier of either platform comes in at the identical monthly price of $199. At this tier, Kajabi users are now able to take advantage of a maximum contact list of 25,000 and up to 15 products and funnels.
They’ll also see an improvement in their admin user count and active customer maximum. GrooveFunnels’ biggest significant change is the jump from 5,000 (monthly plan) contacts to a whopping 30,000 (monthly plan)!
The restrictions that were placed on the lower tier of GrooveFunnels are now also removed, so users will be able to enjoy unlimited sending of emails and unlimited video uploads.
The maximum number of auto webinars has also been brought up to 20. This time, with the improvements they’ve made to the tier benefits and features, plus the annual subscription savings, GrooveFunnels is looking like a pretty good option.
Kajabi Pro vs GrooveFunnels Premium
Kajabi Pro | GrooveFunnels Premium | |

Monthly Price | $399/month | $299/month |

Kajabi Premium subscribers get to enjoy larger numbers of products and funnels than their Pro plan compatriots, with 100 of each now an option. The maximum contacts have doubled too, up to a possible 100,000! Admin users, websites, and active customers have all significantly increased, too.
GrooveFunnels users are still stuck on that one admin user, unfortunately. Still, they’ve seen their maximum contacts increase to 50,000 (monthly plan) or 100,000 (annual plan) and the significant price difference when compared with Kajabi, might be enough to make it your number one choice.
Transactional & Credit Card Fees
Both platforms support payment processors Stripe and PayPal, but GrooveFunnels has additional options just a few clicks away.

GrooveFunnels Creator users will see transaction fees of 2% on card payments. GrooveFunnels Pro and Premium subscribers will enjoy 0% transaction fees. Kajabi users enjoy 0% transaction fees on all plans.
Discounts
Monthly subscriptions to each platform give users the benefit of paying less upfront to access all the tools and features needed to create and run their online business. However, to truly get the best value for money, annual subscriptions offer the biggest savings.
With this in mind, Kajabi gives a very nice 20% discount on all annual plans, while GrooveFunnels provides various amounts off depending on which subscription plan you choose. For entry, middle, and top-tier plans, users can save 70%, 58%, and 67% respectively.
If you’re looking for even larger savings, both platforms also periodically run other promotional offers that can include larger discounts or extended free trial periods. However, these sale cycles can’t always be predicted, so don’t count on them being made available.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels Verdict: Value for Money
Ultimately which platform you consider to be the best value will come down to what it is you consider to be most important to you and your business.
If you’re looking to add extra admin users and have a larger number of possible email subscribers, Kajabi might be the best option for you. If on the other hand, you’re looking to save as much money as you can, GrooveFunnels gives unbeatable, fantastic savings on their annual subscriptions.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels: User Interface & Ease of Use
In this section, we’ve taken a look at how each platform compares when it comes to ease of use and the overall user experience. We’ve also investigated whether there are any ways that you can try out the platforms before committing to a full purchase of one or the other.
Dashboard Comparison
Both platforms have designed their dashboards with ease of use in mind, providing a modern user interface that’s easy to read and understand.
The Kajabi dashboard lays out all the key features within a menu pane on the left side of the screen, with each option opening into further sub-categories that users can explore.

GrooveFunnels’ dashboard takes a slightly different approach, centering the main functions that most users will regularly use at the top of the page.

All dashboard options and features can also be accessed from the black menu strip down the left-hand side.

The dashboard can also be accessed by clicking the four dots in the upper right corner to the left of your user avatar.

Initial impressions of the dashboard are that they both have an attractive design and they both place the most commonly used items in easy-to-spot places. However, the Kajabi dashboard is a little simpler, as the main menu options are always on the left side of the screen. GrooveFunnels’ main menu options are sometimes front and center, sometimes not. Visuals are often a very subjective opinion, but we think Kajabi has the nicer design.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels Verdict: User Interface & Ease of Use
We’ve concluded that when it comes to the way the dashboards look, Kajabi comes out as the winner. It’s uncluttered, simple, and would probably be more pleasing to the first-time user’s eye.
For the overall user experience, Kajabi is often easier to use with all the menu options being permanently placed down the left-hand side of the screen. In comparison, GrooveFunnels’ menu options aren’t always immediately apparent and take some getting used to. This is Kajabi’s win.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels: Course Creation

Educators, coaches, and other knowledge professionals are likely to be most interested in how each platform handles course creation and management. The table shows that both platforms have all the tools users might need.
Course Creation Comparison
The Kajabi course creation process is very straightforward and easy to use. Users simply need to select Products from the menu on the left, click Courses, followed by Get Started.

Next, users select the course template relevant to the type of course they’re creating and enter a few essential details like the course name and description.
Then, users should upload an image to make their course stand out.

Whichever type of course the user chose to create can now be edited by selecting that course from the Course area in the Product menu. When opened, users will see a screen similar to the one pictured below.
New content can be added by selecting Add content in the upper right corner, and existing modules can be edited by selecting the content the user wishes to edit on the left.

If editing existing content, users will see a screen like the one pictured below where they can edit all the details and add files.

GrooveFunnels approaches the same task in a very similar way.
First, users select GrooveMember from the dashboard home, pictured below (or from the menu options in the black strip on the left-hand side of the screen, or from the four-dot menu in the upper right corner of the screen). After, select Courses.

Next select +Add Course in the upper right corner. Users are then asked to enter details for the course and save. They can find the course stored in the Courses section of GrooveFunnels.

Adding and editing content is then as easy as clicking on the course and editing the modules as needed.
Video Hosting
All Kajabi plans support video files up to 4GB in size, with all major file formats included. GrooveFunnels uses GrooveVideo to host up to a total of 100GB of video content at a time, but there are some limitations on the number of videos allowed for Creator plan users. The limit is 25 videos, which should be enough for small and new businesses.
If users wish to remove that restriction, they can upgrade to a Pro or Premium plan and get access to an unlimited number of video uploads.
GrooveFunnels supported file formats are currently restricted to .MP4, .WEBM, and .FLV only.
Downloadable Content
Downloadable content is an essential part of any online course, as it gives your clients access to further relevant materials that they can use to improve their skills and knowledge. Coaches can also use it as a way to administer and perform assessments. Both platforms approach downloadable content in a very similar way.
Kajabi asks its users to add their downloadable content to their individual lesson plans. This is done by accessing the Courses menu option and selecting the course, followed by the lesson that they wish to edit.

GrooveFunnels users also need to access the course they want to edit, select the relevant module and lesson, then select the + icon, before selecting Download Content and uploading the relevant files.
Drip Content
Drip content is possible with both platforms. The Kajabi method for this is to choose the Drip course option during the initial course creation process. Users are then free to edit when their

content is released from within the course editing menu.

GrooveFunnels supports drip content, too. In order to set up this feature, users will need to fully create the course, a page, and a funnel before they can implement drip controls.
Quizzes & Assignments
Including quizzes and assignments in a course is a great way to check your clients’ understanding throughout the entire length of a course. Both platforms support the ability to do this, but, in our opinion, Kajabi currently has a better implementation than GrooveFunnels.
Kajabi subscribers get access to a convenient and simple-to-use, built-in quiz creation tool.

GrooveFunnels, on the other hand, doesn’t currently have a built-in tool for quizzes. GrooveQuiz is a tool that is planned for release at a later date, but at present users need to create a GroovePage and use a 3rd-party solution (e.g. Typeform or TryInteract).
Certificate of Completion
Neither platform currently offers any built-in tools for certificates of completion, and at the time of writing neither platform had any plans to do so. Both do allow app integrations, so users are free to connect a third-party solution to handle this issue.
Course Navigation for Students
Kajabi students will enjoy a very simple-to-use course navigation experience with everything divided into weeks, modules, and lessons. All course content is listed clearly, and the planned release schedule makes it easy for users to see what is coming next.
Downloadable content, quizzes, and any other relevant materials are all conveniently placed within each lesson plan and in the course overview for easy viewing.
GrooveFunnels students will get a very similar experience, finding chapters and lessons being displayed when they access a course. From there, they can select the relevant lesson and find all the content stored within neat labels and ready to access.
Student Progress Tracking
This area is an easy win for Kajabi. Kajabi chose to place an Analytics option in the dashboard, allowing course creators to check on individual student progress. Kajabi plan subscribers can select Analytics, then Product Progress, and from there they can choose the student they wish to view.

At the time of reviewing, it doesn’t appear that GrooveFunnels has any way of tracking student progress. There is an Analytics option within the GrooveMembers menu area. However, it

doesn’t appear to be a functioning feature yet, as when selected, it states “Coming soon…”.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels Verdict: Courses
I’m giving the distinction in this area to Kajabi. It’s much simpler to set up a course, has most of the tools you might need in one place, and includes student progress tracker tools.
GrooveFunnels is a capable alternative, but just can’t match up to Kajabi’s more complete experience.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels: Coaching Product

Coaching products are a very popular way to turn your knowledge in a given field into a business opportunity. The table above shows that both platforms have all the tools and features that you need to get your own coaching products up and running. However, after reviewing both platforms thoroughly, one of them is clearly better equipped.
Kajabi users enjoy a dedicated coaching product area within the dashboard menu. It also has provided built-in support for the vital features of live video conferencing and session scheduling.
GrooveFunnels users unfortunately don’t enjoy the same level of convenience. They need to create a course using GrooveMembers in order to connect with clients, and then run the actual coaching sessions through GrooveWebinar. Even then, they are only going to be able to use pre-recorded video.
If a GrooveFunnels user wishes to coach individuals or groups during a live session, they will need to use a workaround, such as including a link to a third-party live video conferences app in a course product.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels Verdict: Coaching
This section is a Kajabi win. Once again, it’s Kajabi’s whole experience that gives it the lead. With everything a user might need to create, sell, and manage a course in one area within a beautifully designed dashboard, GrooveFunnels needs to step up its game.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels: Memberships & Communities
Kajabi | GrooveFunnels | |
---|---|---|
Membership Management Functionality | ✅ Available | ✅ Available |

Paid Access | ✅ Available | ✅ Yes |

Direct Messaging | ✅ Available | ❌ Unavailable |
Activity Notifications | ✅ Yes | ❌ Unavailable |
Now let’s take a look at the membership and communities options that each of these services provides. If we look at the table above, we can see that both offer member management functionality, paid access, and the ability to include links and resources. That’s where the similarities end though.
Communities
Starting with Kajabi, users will find, once again, that there’s a dedicated area for communities within the Kajabi dashboard found under the Products menu. This community area can be treated almost like a forum space, with discussion topics, direct messaging, and notifications all supported.
Called Kajabi Communities, this area of the platform recently received a huge update, giving users expanded capabilities to grow their communities at scale. The added features mean users’ communities now have even more ways to connect and learn, with options like live sessions, interactive tools, and collaborative challenges.

By contrast, there is nothing in the way of a community area for GrooveFunnels users. The best that GrooveFunnels subscribers can currently do for their users is to use GrooveMembers to create a membership, where they can include links and resources for their subscribers to access.

It’s not quite the same as the Kajabi Communities option, but it is one way to create a members-only area.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels Verdict: Memberships & Communities
This is a runaway victory for Kajabi. The Kajabi team has clearly designed this area of the platform with intention and is consistently working hard to improve it. As such, subscribers are provided with all the tools they need to create and manage memberships and communities with ease, from a single place.
Likewise, community members have a single, unified location that they can easily access, and a variety of tools and features that enhance the interactivity of their experience.
GrooveFunnels doesn’t have the same kind of support currently available, but we were informed that it’s being designed for future implementation, so watch this space for updates.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels: Podcasts
Kajabi | GrooveFunnels | |
---|---|---|
Podcasting Functionality | ✅ Available | ❌ Unavailable |
Import Podcast | ✅ Yes | ❌ Unavailable |
Podcast Distribution | ✅ Supported | ❌ Unsupported |
Podcast Homepage | ✅ Yes | ✅ Supported |
Paid Access | ✅ Yes | ✅ Supported |
GrooveFunnels doesn’t currently have any plans to include any built-in podcast functionality, so users are going to need to use a combination of 3rd-party software and GroovePages to connect with listeners and redirect them to the podcast content. Paid access is supported by creating a GrooveMembers product.
By comparison, Kajabi has full podcast functionality, giving its users the options to create and manage podcast products from inside the Kajabi dashboard as well as import podcasts from external platforms.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels Verdict: Podcasts
This one is yet another easy win for Kajabi. The platform actually has a toolset that makes this a delight for subscribers to use. Although GrooveFunnels users can use some 3rd-party software and workarounds to give clients access to their podcasts, it’s not as simple or easy as Kajabi’s offering.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels: Webinars
Kajabi | GrooveFunnels | |
---|---|---|
Webinar Functionality | ✅ Supported | ✅ Supported |
Pre-Recorded Webinars (Evergreen) | ✅ Supported | ✅ Supported |
Live Webinars | ✅ Supported (3rd-party app required) | ❌ Unsupported |
GrooveFunnels gives its users access to GrooveWebinar. This area on the dashboard is specifically for the creation and management of webinars. The unfortunate thing is, at the time of writing, users can only create automated evergreen webinars. There are plans to add live webinar functionality in the future, but for now, automated webinars are the only option. The actual setup process is quite simple: each step is clearly defined and needs to be completed before progressing on to the next step in the setup process.
Kajabi users will need to access the Marketing area of the dashboard and set up a new funnel. From there, users can choose Zoom Webinar, enter a title, webinar link, and set up the schedule. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it works.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels Verdict: Webinars
Kajabi comes out on top because of its support for live webinars. However, once GrooveFunnels updates GrooveWebinar to include support for live webinars (no release date confirmed), that could change.

A professional website is essential to any online business’s chances of success, and both platforms give users everything they should need to create a beautiful website of their own. Both feature drag-and-drop builders, SEO tools, custom themes, and custom domains. They also each offer subscribers of the top tier plans access to a code editor, for those who want to really customize what their site will look like.
When it comes to analytics, Kajabi is definitely the best choice as it has built-in tools in every level of subscription plan. When it comes to this particular feature, GrooveFunnels currently requires subscribers to use Google Analytics. GrooveFunnels added they have plans to add it to GroovePages in the future.
Design & Customization
Designing and customizing your website is a very similar experience. Both platforms should be recognizable to anyone who has used something similar to WordPress or Squarespace.

Users need to just drag and drop the elements they wish to use and then select them to make further adjustments.

Kajabi Pro and GrooveFunnels Premium subscribers both get code editor access, providing a greater level of granular control than lower-tier subscribers get.
After extensively using both of the platforms, we think that the Kajabi option is slightly easier to use than the GrooveFunnels builder, with that mostly coming down to the fact that Kajabi’s build has a cleaner layout.
To get started with GrooveFunnels, you need to access GroovePages first, whereas Kajabi has the Website menu option in the left menu pane; this tends to be a little more self-explanatory to the first-time user. GrooveFunnels may work better if you have some experience in this area already.
Blogging & SEO
This is an area that both platforms perform very well in. They both have built-in functionality for blog services, and each platform provides blog hosting. GrooveFunnels takes users through the GrooveBlog menu option at the top center of the dashboard (or the menu on the left, or the four-dot menu in the upper right).

With GrooveBlog, subscribers have full editing control of their blog content, and SEO options are available from the setting menu in the black menu pane on the left.

Kajabi places all of its blogging tools and options within the Website menu option. Once users access Blog, they can create and manage all their blog posts from this single location.

If users continue to scroll down, they’ll find SEO tools like fields for the meta title and description.
This category is actually a pretty close call, with GrooveBlog being a pretty developed area for GrooveFunnels. If blog posting is what you’re most interested in, then we couldn’t find any reason to choose one platform over the other.
Mobile App
A poor app experience can often kill any chances of success for online software as a service platforms. In this regard, both Kajabi and GrooveFunnels scored well with us, as they both have Android and iOS apps available for download. Both apps function very smoothly.
If stats are your thing though, this victory has to go to GrooveFunnels: right from the home screen, you can see sales, profits, and refunds for GrooveSell, and all the other GrooveFunnels features currently active are just two clicks away. This is a rare win for GrooveFunnels.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels Verdict: Building a Website
This one was a close-run race. Both platforms have areas where they excel and areas where they lack something. If analytics are your thing and you don’t like using Google Analytics, you’ll prefer Kajabi. However, we like the features and functionality of GrooveFunnels’ GrooveBlog area, the app works great, and the website builder works just fine. This one’s coming down to personal needs and preferences, so this is a tie.

The table above shows us that Kajabi and GrooveFunnels feature sets are almost identical, with the only noticeable difference being Kajabi’s ability to handle live webinars and that GrooveFunnels has more payment processor options.
Subscription & Payment Management
Kajabi users will find creating and managing subscriptions a simple task. Paywall options are clearly labeled during the content creation procedure, and customer self-cancellation is enabled by default. If so desired, this feature can also be turned off if direct control of all cancellation requests is preferred. In addition, Kajabi users have the option to cancel through Kajabi or directly with Stripe and PayPal.
As is becoming a consistent pattern, GrooveFunnels isn’t quite as simple. Despite looking everywhere and asking several live chat support agents, we did not find any self-cancellation option. However, there is a members’ management option within the GrooveMembers menu area, allowing users to manage individual content subscribers themselves, and automations can be set up to help with this.
Email Marketing
Kajabi’s beautifully designed dashboard makes setting up an email campaign simple and quick. Found under Marketing in the menu pane, users can create, manage, and monitor all their email marketing campaigns from this single location.

GrooveFunnels users also have a fantastic set of tools to use, located within the GrooveMail menu option. As can be seen in the picture below, users will be able to create and manage sequences and broadcasts, access numerous professional email templates, and set up automations, all from this one convenient location.

Both platforms score well in this category, with GrooveFunnels considerably redeeming some of its earlier failures with a solid set of email marketing tools. With that being said, neither platform did enough to really come out on top, so personal preference wins this one.
Pipelines & Funnels
From the dashboard, Kajabi users can select Funnels and set up 3, 15, or 100 funnels depending on their plan tier. The process is guided, so new users don’t need to panic. A new funnel can be set up in a few moments.

This could be one area where GrooveFunnels excels, as there doesn’t appear to be any limit on the number of funnels possible with any tier of account. Although once again, the platform isn’t as enjoyable an experience when compared with Kajabi’s layout and functionality. However, the limitless nature might be enough for some of you to choose GrooveFunnels.
All things considered, they both work remarkably similarly, but with GrooveFunnels’ seemingly unlimited funnel count, it could be the smarter option for users out there who need this feature.
Automations
We were unable to review Kajabi automations as our review used the Kajabi Basic plan, which comes with zero included automations. To take advantage of automations, Kajabi users will need to upgrade to the Pro or Premium plans.

This is another area GrooveFunnels users will enjoy considerably more than their Kajabi counterparts. Automations are an included feature with every tier of plan, even the free option.

As you can see in the image above there are plenty of triggers to choose from, including:
- Contact subscribes to list
- Contact unsubscribes from list
- Opened a sequence email
- Abandon cart
- And more!

There are plenty of actions, too, such as:
- Subscribe to list
- Subscribe to sequence
- Add as an affiliate
- Refund a purchase
- And more!
With plenty of triggers and actions to choose from and without a limit on the number of these a user can implement even with the lowest-cost subscription plan, GrooveFunnels is the definite winner when it comes to automations.
Upsells & Order Bumps
Kajabi asks its users to first create a new offer, then add it to an existing offers Upsells menu.

Order bumps are also simple to implement with users who need to add an additional offer to an existing offer’s checkout, pictured below.

GrooveFunnels takes a slightly more circuitous route. It requires users to create their initial sales page and a separate upsell page using GroovePages. Next, they need to make sure their product is set up correctly in GrooveSell, and then add the Upsell product to the sales page of the original product, before finally activating the product funnel. Order bumps are handled similarly.
The process of jumping backward and forward between the various menu options in GrooveFunnels makes the entire process feel more complicated than it actually needs to be. Although what is being accomplished by both platforms is actually quite similar, the experiences couldn’t be more different. This category is a surprisingly comfortable win for Kajabi.
Offers, Coupons, and Promotions
Coupon creation and management, offers, and promotions are supported by both platforms, but each takes a different approach to how subscribers implement these features. As pictured in the Kajabi dashboard image below, everything related to Coupons and Offers is located within the sales section of the dashboard.

In comparison, GrooveFunnels uses GrooveSell to implement all promotional offers in the same way that it handles Upsells and Order Bumps. In short, it’s not particularly easy or intuitive to use, particularly for the uninitiated. Even after our extensive research, we couldn’t tell you with confidence how it’s done without first checking our notes.
Kajabi takes this category. The dashboard layout once again shines. Even if the functionality between the platforms is not that different, Kajabi makes the whole process more user friendly with a design interface that allows users to intuitively make changes.
Affiliate Programs
Affiliate programs are available to subscribers of both platforms. However, Kajabi Basic users will need to upgrade to the Growth or Pro plan first. GrooveFunnels users enjoy access to affiliate programs across all tiers of plan, with commission amounts ranging between 20% for the Free plan and 40% for the Premium.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels Verdict: Marketing & Sales Features
This category is leaning towards Kajabi. Although both services provide the tools needed to do everything the other one does, Kajabi’s ease of use wins out.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels: Support & Training
Kajabi | GrooveFunnels | |
---|---|---|
User Community | ❌ Unavailable | ❌ Unavailable |
Telephone Support | ❌ Unavailable | ❌ Unavailable |
Email Support | ✅ Available (24/7) | ✅ Available (24/7) |
Live Chat Support | ✅ Available (Times vary according to plan) | ✅ Available Mon – Fri, 11 am – 5 pm EST Sat – Sun, 12 pm – 5 pm EST |
Free Training | ✅ Available (Kajabi University, Kajabi Help Center, 1:1 Sessions, Onboarding Calls) | Available (GrooveDigitalAcademy, Groove Tutorials, Groove Knowledge Base) |
Multi-Factor Authentication | ✅ Available | ❌ Unavailable |
This area has a few surprising omissions from both parties. The lack of a user community area for both platforms was something we didn’t expect, but they make up for that somewhat by both having a Facebook group that’s used as a substitute.
Both platforms lack a telephone support number for even the most expensive plans which also leaves a bad taste. They do, however, both provide 24/7 email support, and each has a free knowledge center where you can find detailed instructions and video tutorials for how to set up most things you might need.
Customer Support
Around-the-clock email support is the absolute bare minimum support option that either of these services should be providing, and thankfully both have it. However, during the course of our review, we found that GrooveFunnels wasn’t particularly responsive. There were multiple occasions where we had to wait till the next day for a reply, or never even received a reply at all.
On a more positive note, GrooveFunnels’ live chat support is available every day of the week, if not at all times. Live chat support is available for every user, regardless of their plan tier.
Kajabi’s live chat support is a little more complicated. Basic Plan subscribers have access to it during business days between 6 am – 5 pm PST and no access at all during the weekends. It seems a little odd for live support to be unavailable during what could be the peak operating hours for a lot of small businesses, teachers, and coaches. If you want to enjoy 24/7 live chat support with Kajabi then an upgrade to the Growth or Pro plans is required.
Once again, GrooveFunnels’ slightly only-by-necessity nature seems to have found its way over into the live chat. There were a number of questions we asked that we only received a partial answer to, and at times, it felt as though the agents that were meant to be helping us didn’t fully understand their own product. Still, some live chat support is better than none, so GrooveFunnels wins there.
Training
Both platforms provide very impressive training options. GrooveFunnels users have access to GrooveDigitalAcademy, Groove Training, and the Knowledge Base. Between the three sources, users should have everything they need to answer most queries, although some of the videos are a little out of date, especially as there are new features and tools being consistently added.
Kajabi subscribers gain access to Kajabi Help Center and Kajabi University. Kajabi University is an amazing feature, giving subscribers access to hours of courses and hundreds of videos so that they can learn about every aspect of an online business.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels Verdict: Support & Training
After extensive use of everything both platforms offer in the way of help and support, it’s a very close tie. Kajabi University is a fantastic resource, with up-to-date, clear information that’s superior to its rival’s version. However, the live chat support option that’s available to every GrooveFunnels user is a big plus that’s hard to ignore.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels: Integrations
Kajabi | GrooveFunnels | |
---|---|---|
Direct Integrations | ✅ Available | ✅ Available |
Third-Party Integrations (e.g. Zapier) | ✅ Available (Hundreds with Zapier) | ✅ Available (Hundreds with Zapier) |
API | ✅ Supported | ❌ Unavailable |
Kajabi has a number of direct integrations and supports hundreds of other apps through Zapier integration. GrooveFunnels does equally well in this regard, as users of all tiers are able to integrate with literally any 3rd-party applications they may wish to use, including Zapier.
If the number of payment processor integrations is a key consideration for users, note that GrooveFunnels supports more.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels Verdict: Integrations
This category is scored as a tie. Once again, Kajabi’s pleasant user experience makes it stand out, but GrooveFunnels’ limitless app integration might make this the better option for some users.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels: Analytics
Kajabi | GrooveFunnels | |
---|---|---|
Analytics | ✅ Available | ✅ Available |
Website Statistics | ✅ Available (page views) | ✅ Available (3rd-party app required) |
Sales Statistics | ✅ Available (net revenue, churn rate, revenue per customer) | ✅ Available |
The analytics menu in Kajabi opens up to show all the key metrics you might want to check: page views, opt-ins, subscription metrics, and more can be found here.

The route that GrooveFunnels takes is a little more difficult to score. Although there are some analytics available within the different functions, there is no dedicated analytics area.
After speaking with a live chat agent, we were told that there are plans to add that in the future, but for now, if subscribers want access to that data using their computer, they would need to use Google Analytics or Meta Pixel (formally FB Pixel) to get a clear view of statistics.
Alternatively, users can download the mobile phone app (available for Android and Apple devices) and see real-time data for sales, transactions, funnel revenue, and more.
Kajabi vs GrooveFunnels Verdict: Analytics
Kajabi wins! Kajabi is simple to use, easy to find, covers all the basic data that you might need, and it’s built right into the platform. Users don’t need to worry about using anything other than Kajabi to learn more about how their online business is doing.

Whichever platform users choose, each comes with its own benefits and drawbacks. Which one you choose will ultimately come down to personal preference and goals. One particularly strong selling point for Kajabi is its clean design. It’s much easier to use, with everything sensibly laid out, making it extremely intuitive to use.

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the Main Difference Between Kajabi and GrooveFunnels?
The biggest difference between the two platforms is the user experience. Kajabi’s is more pleasant, especially for the first-time user. It feels like a much more coherent experience, with menu options being where you’d expect them to be. This means less jumping around between menu options as you design your site.
Is Kajabi Better Than GrooveFunnels?
This is hard to say with definiteness and ultimately will come down to what exactly you’re looking to get out of the platform. Kajabi has much tougher restrictions on the number of products and funnels allowed on its different plans, but the cleaner, more modern design makes Kajabi far easier to use than GrooveFunnels.
Is GrooveFunnels Cheaper Than Kajabi?
Yes. Monthly subscription costs are cheaper (barring the middle tier, which is the same), and annual subscriptions are noticeably less with GrooveFunnels when compared with Kajabi. GrooveFunnels also has a free plan option for those who want to get started without paying anything today.
Should I Use Kajabi or GrooveFunnels?
This is going to come down to personal preference and prior technical ability. If you’d like a more streamlined and clear user experience with up-to-date support to guide you through the whole process, Kajabi might be the better option for you to try. If, however, you want the lowest price available, have some experience already, or both, then GrooveFunnels is a great option.
Is Kajabi Better for SEO Than GrooveFunnels?
Both platforms provide SEO tools that allow users to create and edit titles and meta descriptions. Kajabi does include a robust analytics area within its dashboard that may make making adjustments easier, but GrooveFunnels does plan to add an analytics section in the future.
Is Kajabi Easier to Use Than GrooveFunnels?
Yes. The dashboard user interface is (in our opinion) far easier to understand and use, especially for those new to the online business world.
Can I Use Kajabi and GrooveFunnels for Free?
