What Is Kajabi?

Kajabi is an all-in-one platform designed for anyone who wants to monetize their knowledge.

Whether it’s through course creation, coaching, podcasts, or communities, Kajabi provides the features and tools to allow you to build, market, and sell your learning products.

How Do Searchie and Kajabi Differ from Each Other?

Both platforms allow you to create digital learning products, but the setup of each platform is quite different from one another.

Searchie and Kajabi Differ from Each Other

Kajabi is a complete and integrated solution for setting up and running your business. As well as product creation tools, it also has everything you need to market them – such as emailing, funnels, etc. – and lots of features to sell them effectively.

Using Kajabi removes the need to use other third-party platforms and pay for additional subscriptions.

Using Kajabi removes

On the other hand, Searchie acts as a hub in which to gather and organize all your existing online content, no matter where it is hosted.

It allows you to connect with other platforms such as Google and YouTube and pull your content onto the Searchie platform.

Then, you can use the content to create and sell learning products.

However, to market them, you will need to employ the use of third-party apps since the platform itself does not contain any marketing features.

Winner Is: Searchie

There’s no doubt that Searchie costs a lot less than Kajabi.

However, as you will see throughout this comparison, Kajabi provides you with a lot more features which justifies why it charges more.

Kajabi vs Searchie: Course and Product Creation

Kajabi vs Searchie: Course and Product Creation

Kajabi is a platform that truly excels in product creation and gives you every tool possible to make the process a breeze.

It has recently introduced an AI content generator into the platform, so now it will effortlessly create your entire course outline and accompanying marketing materials just by plugging in a few details.

Here’s what it lets you build:

  • All types of courses filled with engaging content such as videos, audio files, digital downloads, and more.
  • A complete coaching solution. The platform has an inbuilt scheduler that allows customers to book sessions directly, and a native live stream tool to run online sessions.
  • Create, manage, and distribute podcasts by uploading your content onto the platform.
  • Develop and nurture your audience by creating dedicated community spaces to chat and engage with members.
  • A combination of any of the above products by creating a membership site.
  • Valuable offers by bundling products together and selling them for a single price.
Develop and nurture

Kajabi has clearly placed a lot of thought into the user experience; creating products is easy.

The platform guides you through the process step by step and you can have things up and running in literally minutes.

We got our first coaching product created in about ten minutes, and an online community was live in less than five!

Kajabi has clearly placed

Searchie employs a different tactic and presents one solution for all the digital products that you want to create.

This is done by creating “Hubs.” Hubs are essentially mini-websites that are used to host all your content which members can then pay to access.

While you can upload as much video content as your chosen plan allows, the platform does not have many native features to diversify your products.

For example, if you want to use a scheduling tool, community space, or live streaming, you will have to connect the platform to third-party apps.

creating “Hubs

The Hub templates that Searchie provides are decent and plentiful. You can find them for various niches such as cooking, coaching, fitness, etc., and editing them is straightforward.

However, because the platform is geared toward using video content uploads, you’re going to quickly find it limited if you want to use a different type of media.

Winner Is: Kajabi

To get the same functionality with Searchie as you do with Kajabi, you’re going to have to purchase and integrate with a huge number of third-party apps.

Unless you deal solely with video content, you will quickly realize the limitations of Searchie and its inability to let you create diverse learning products.

Kajabi vs Searchie: Podcasting and Live Streaming

Kajabi vs Searchie: Podcasting and Live Streaming

Kajabi’s podcast feature lets you create a new podcast or upload an existing one. Once on the platform, you can manage and distribute your episodes to all the top podcasting platforms. It’s pretty basic, but it gets the job done effectively.

Kajabi’s podcast feature

For running live events such as coaching sessions or webinars, Kajabi has its own live streaming feature.

This is excellent because you don’t have to waste time trying to integrate Kajabi with another platform, and it provides a more streamlined experience to your customers.

Additionally, the community feature has a “Live Room” button which you can click to go live immediately whenever you choose to.

This is brilliant for surprising your community members with extra content and providing additional value.

Live Room

Searchie, like Kajabi, cannot be used for recording podcasts. Instead, it provides a number of template Hubs specifically for hosting your podcast episodes.

Additionally, the platform connects with the most popular podcasting platforms.

If you have a lot of episodes, your listeners will find the keyword search feature useful.

They can simply input a word into the search bar to find the episode they want, rather than having to sift through all the episodes.

Searchie, like Kajabi

Despite being a platform geared toward video content, Searchie lacks a live stream feature. Instead, you can integrate with Zoom, YouTube, and other video platforms to run live sessions.

Although it’s frustrating there isn’t a live feature, Searchie does record your live calls and uploads them onto the platform in case you want to use them in the future.

This is a nice touch and something that Kajabi doesn’t provide

Winner Is: Kajabi

Searchie is probably the better platform overall for hosting podcast episodes, but Kajabi still does a decent job of this.

However, having a native live stream feature is incredibly useful, no matter which type of product you are creating.

Kajabi vs Searchie: Content Management

Kajabi vs Searchie: Content Management

Kajabi doesn’t offer much for content management since it wasn’t built for this purpose.

Any content that you want to add such as videos or files, you can upload directly from your device or platform like Dropbox or Google Drive.

Kajabi doesn’t offer much for content

On the other hand, content management is where Searchie excels. Connect directly with Zoom, Google Drive, YouTube, and other apps to pull all your content into the library.

Once you have your content on the Searchie platform, you can create playlists and organize it by keyword so it is easily searchable by users.

AI comes into play here too, and Searchie’s AI technology can:

  • Transcribe video and audio content.
  • Add video captions.
  • Create titles, descriptions, summaries, key takeaways, and chapters.
  • Add content tags.

Winner Is: Searchie

If you have a lot of existing content scattered around the web on various platforms, Searchie is a great tool for organizing and tidying it all up.

Kajabi vs Searchie: Sales and Marketing

Kajabi vs Searchie: Sales and Marketing

Where Searchie excels in content management, Kajabi excels in marketing features.

You get a full emailing tool with the ability to send unlimited marketing emails on any of Kajabi’s plans.

There’s also a full-funnel builder with prebuilt templates for different types of funnels, and a website and landing page builder too.

content management

All the templates are high-quality and quick to edit using the drag-and-drop tool. Plus, you can automate your campaign from start to finish using the workflow feature. This lays your campaign out in a visual timeline which you can customize accordingly.

Although you can connect with third-party marketing apps if you want, there’s really no need to because Kajabi does it all in-house.

As for selling your products, you can use Kajabi’s native payment processor (US-based businesses only while in beta mode) or connect with PayPal, Stripe, Apple, and Google Pay.

selling your products

There is a notable lack of marketing features on Searchie. The only tool we could find was the ability to email your Hub members. If you want to create funnels, email campaigns, landing pages, etc, you have to use a third-party app to do so.

For taking payments, Searchie only integrates with Stripe. For other payment gateways, you must use Zapier.

Winner Is: Kajabi

No competition here. Kajabi provides a complete marketing solution for all your learning products and offers.

Kajabi vs Searchie: Analytics Tools

Kajabi vs Searchie: Analytics Tools

Kajabi has a ton of analytics available to view, including:

  • Net revenue
  • Subscriptions
  • Opt-ins
  • Page views
  • Product progress
  • Offers sold
  • And more

All analytics are available to view regardless of which plan you are on and provide valuable insights into the performance of your business.

Product progress

Rather than give you a centralized place for all your analytics, Searchie provides the data by Hub.

Here you can see:

  • Audience
  • Active users
  • Number of searches
  • Retention rates

We couldn’t find anywhere where sales or revenue data is displayed, which was a bit of a letdown.

Winner Is: Kajabi

Kajabi gives you more thorough insights into your business performance as a whole.

Since you can see which of your products and campaigns are working and which are not, it gives you the opportunity to adjust and improve.

Kajabi vs Searchie: User Experience

Kajabi vs Searchie: User Experience

Kajabi is easy. It’s intuitive. And importantly, we didn’t have to waste valuable time trying to figure out how its features worked, and we didn’t have to flail about trying to connect third-party apps.

Kajabi has one of the most convenient, straightforward, and pleasant user experiences going.

It’s intuitive

Searchie’s user experience is okay-ish. It’s certainly not terrible, but some things on the platform don’t make sense, or there’s simply no functionality for it, and requires the use of a third-party app.

We question how scalable this platform is. For advanced users, we don’t feel that it offers enough.

Winner Is: Kajabi

As you may have guessed, Kajabi wins hands down for user experience. It’s going to take something huge to beat this platform.

Kajabi vs Searchie: Customer Support

Kajabi vs Searchie: Customer Support

Kajabi offers email support to all and 24/7 live chat support to those on the Growth and Pro plans.

It has plenty of help prompts inside the platform and a comprehensive and up-to-date help center with loads of useful walkthroughs and articles.

email support

Additionally, subscribers can choose from a wide schedule of live and on-demand webinars in a variety of topics.

choose from a wide schedule

Searchie has live chat available, but it is only available 9 AM – 5 PM Eastern time. If you need help outside these hours, you are stuck!

There’s no emailing facility – only a help center with articles to refer to.

Winner Is: Kajabi

Being able to contact a helpdesk 24/7 – even if it’s just an email ticketing service – is vital.

Searchie limits its help to US working hours only, so if you’re based elsewhere, consider this carefully before signing up.

Kajabi vs Searchie: Final Verdict

Kajabi vs Searchie: Final Verdict

We get what Searchie is trying to do. It’s a great idea, but we feel that the platform’s limitations let it down and it only provides a benefit if you deal purely with video content.

On the other hand, Kajabi is superior in just about every way, so if you want a user-friendly, high-quality platform that gets the job done properly, it’s a no-brainer decision.

  • Choose Kajabi if you want a true all-in-one business solution for monetizing your knowledge and learning content.
