How to Create a Kajabi Funnel (Step by Step)

Ready to get started on building your first funnel? Here’s how to do it.

How to Create a Kajabi Funnel

Step 1: Log into your Kajabi account and click on Marketing and then Funnels. If you want a bit more information, click on Learn More to watch a Kajabi tutorial about funnels. If not, hit Get Started to move on.

Step 2: Now, you will be invited to select a blueprint or start with a blank page. Each funnel type has an accompanying video explaining what it’s for, so if you’re not sure which to pick, we recommend checking the videos out first. 

For the purpose of this guide, we’re going to select Simple Sales Page.

Step 3: Give your funnel a name and select which offer you want to use for this funnel.

Step 4: You will now be taken to the funnel editing tool. The main page for this is essentially the funnel “map” that shows the sequence of events. In this case, we have the sales page, followed by the checkout page.

To edit the pages, all you need to do is click on them.

Step 5: Build the necessary information onto your funnel pages. Depending on which blueprint you chose, the page templates may look a little different. 

Each page is 100% customizable, so feel free to delete sections you don’t want and add in ones that you need. Select the desired sections from the right-hand side of the screen and drag them onto the page.

To edit each section. Click on it and fill in the information. Don’t forget to hit Save in the bottom right-hand corner before exiting the editing tool.

Step 6: Back on the sequence page, if you hover your mouse between each funnel step, an option to Add Page appears. Use this if you want to create more pages for your funnel.

Clicking the three dots beside each page thumbnail also gives you the option to edit details and code and remove the page entirely. Importantly, you also have the option to change the order of your pages here.

If you’re worried about having to create a page from scratch, don’t be. Kajabi provides a selection of page templates for you to choose from.

Step 7: Certain Kajabi pages let you add automation. If so, you will see an Add Automation link underneath the page thumbnail. Click on it to continue.

Step 8: Depending on the plan you have subscribed to, a range of triggers to choose from. These are what provokes the automation action to take place and include things like “offer is purchased” and “offer subscription payment successful.”

Pick the one you need, then choose what you want to happen from the second dropdown menu.

For example, you can opt for a customer to be automatically sent an email after they have completed a purchase. Depending on what you choose, you will be invited to add the automation information.

So if you set an automation for an email to be sent, you will be asked to write the email. If you select an email sequence to be triggered, you will be asked to choose which email sequence to use.

Step 9: When you are satisfied with how your funnel looks and the sequence you have built, you are ready to share it far and wide. All you do is grab the link from the top right-hand corner, and you’re good to go.
