How to Use the LearnWorlds Website Builder
The website builder can be accessed from the sidebar.

Within the site editor settings, there are several options you can choose from. These include the following:
Edit School Site

By clicking here, you will open the site builder.
You can edit all aspects of your school’s site from here. The site editor is formatted as follows:
Top Bar:

- Page – These are the settings for the page you’re currently on. Clicking here will open a dropdown menu that includes the following:
- Page Properties – Make your page public, name the page, adjust the page’s URL, add the page to a group, and add an expiration date for the page.
- SEO – Add your SEO title, description, image, and keywords. You can also see an SEO live preview and choose if you want to exclude the page from your SEO sitemap.
- Top Bar and Footer – Choose whether you want a common, custom, or no top bar and footer.
- Custom Code – Add custom code or edit the existing code.

- Edit – Click here to undo or redo changes, copy, paste, clear, clone, or delete content.

- Design – You can adjust the design of your website by clicking here. All the options will open a theme editor.

When you open the theme editor, there are five tabs.
- Theme Explorer – The theme explorer includes several expertly designed color schemes, font combinations, and page layouts. You can select one of these themes for your website.
- If you want to create your own design, you can click through the other tabs.
- Colors – You can create your own color palette with your brand’s custom colors.
- Typography – Choose or upload your fonts and choose the size of your heading and text.
- Buttons and Inputs – Alter your buttons size and font size.
- Layout – Customize the height of your sections.

- Site – These are the settings for your website. Clicking here will open a dropdown menu that includes the following:
- Site Navigation – Choose your home page, start page, and log out URL. Choose whether those checking out will need to sign up before being directed to the payment page. You can also choose whether non-paying users can access your school or where they’ll be directed.
- Site Custom Code – Add custom code or edit existing code.
- Site Language – Change the language of your site’s labels.
- Site Flavors – Manage your alternative website templates.
- This will redirect you to the Site Flavors section. There is more information on this below.
- Exit Site Builder – Return to the LearnWorlds dashboard. You can also do this by clicking the arrow in the top left corner.

- Add – You can add pages, posts, pop-ups, and funnels from here.

- Help – If you need more help navigating and understanding the site builder, you can click here to open the LearnWorlds academy with relevant courses and articles.

Useful Buttons:

There are several buttons located at the top of the site editor.
We have numbered the image and will explain the buttons here.
- These are undo and redo buttons.
- The eye button allows you to view the site as a visitor. Click Save to confirm your changes.
- Site Flavor / About – This will show you the status of the site flavor you’re editing, when it was last updated, and the group. You can use the Edit Settings button to open the Page Properties, as explained in the section above. There is a Copy URL button, so you can easily share your page.
- Use this to view the page in different sizes and optimize your content for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Adjust the size of your school in comparison to on a desktop.
Page, Funnels, Pop-Ups, and Blog:

You can click on each of these, and it will populate a menu bar.
From here, you can select the page, funnel, pop-up, or blog you want to view or edit.
You can also add new pages, funnels, pop-ups, or blogs from here.
Main Screen:

The main screen is where you can make edits to your pages, blogs, funnels, and pop-ups.
It is easy to navigate with both drag-and-drop and click-to-edit tools.
Within your pages, funnels, and blog pages, there are sections. Most pages will have multiple sections that divide the different areas of your page. For example, product catalogs, payment forms, calendars, etc.
Each section has widgets. Most sections will have multiple widgets. The widgets include text, buttons, columns, etc.
You can customize the layout of the sections and widgets.
It works as follows:
- Section Layout – If you hover over a section, three buttons will appear in the left corner of the main screen.
The buttons allow you to edit a section of your page.

- Layout Button – You can select an alternative layout template.
- Edit – This will open a menu bar on the right-hand side of the screen. You can edit the page’s layout, background, effects, overlay, dividers, visibility, alignment, height, width, box border, box padding, box margin, and entrance animation effects.
- … – You can click on this button to move, duplicate, or delete an entire section.
- Add New Sections – You can add a new section by hovering over an existing section and clicking the + Add Section button.

- Drag and Drop – You can drag and drop widgets into your desired place by hovering over the item and dragging it into place. You can move widgets into any section on the page.

- Add New Widgets – To add new widgets hover over an existing widget and click the + button.

You can then select the widget you want to add.

- Click to Edit – Once you’ve added your widgets, you can use the click-to-edit feature to make changes. To do this, click on the widget you want to edit.
This will populate a menu bar on the right-hand side of your screen.

You can edit all aspects of the widget, including the action when clicked, visibility, layout, entrance effects, and scrolling effects.
The buttons along the top of the menu bar allow you to move, copy, paste, duplicate, adjust the code, and delete the widget.
- Top Bar – You can edit the widgets, links, and text that appear in your top bar. You can also edit the top bar settings here.

- Footer – You can edit the widgets, links, and text that appear in your footer. You can also edit the footer settings and layout here.

Theme Explorer
The next option under Site Builder is Theme Explorer.
By clicking here, it will open the site’s theme explorer.

As we saw, you can also access theme explorer through Edit School Site. The options are the same as previously explained.

Sign Up/Sign In Form
Click here to choose your form. You can click on each option to preview it and then select your chosen one. Make sure to save your choice.

Logo and Favicon
You can upload your school’s logo and favicon.
Your logo will be used as a video watermark, if desired, in the header of your emails and will serve as your metadata image when your website is shared on social media.

Custom Code
Clicking here will open your website’s custom code in the page editor.
As we saw, you can also access this through Edit School Site.

Site Flavors
You can use site flavors to view your current live website design and create alternative designs.
This allows you to test out new templates, designs, and looks for your school.
When you’ve created your alternative design, you can set it as live here.
The site flavors feature also makes it easy to switch between your designs.

Blog
Clicking here will open your website’s blog settings.

You can enable and disable your blog. You can also name and add a description to your blog and copy the URL.
If you click the Edit Blog button, it will open the blog section through Edit School Site. You can then edit your blog and posts.
Pop-Ups
Clicking here will open your website’s pop-ups in the page editor.

As we saw, you can also access this through Edit School Site.
Funnels
Clicking here will open your website’s funnels in the page editor.

As we saw, you can also access this through Edit School Site.
Domain
You can view your current school’s domain. You can also replace your URL with a custom domain here.

Sign In/Up
This will open your sign up and sign in settings.

The first tab is General. Here, you can edit the following:
- Overview – This is a snapshot of all currently active authentication methods.
- Email Verification – Choose whether new users will need to verify their email addresses when registering for an account.
- Force Logout – Automatically log out users after a specified time of inactivity and decide how long the pre-logout message will be displayed.
- Multiple Sessions – Choose whether you want to prohibit multiple concurrent sessions from the same user.
The second tab is LearnWorlds. This section allows you to set the settings for the login process. You can edit the following:
- LearnWorlds – Activate the default authentication mechanism for sign up, sign in, and password reset handling.
- Login Process – Enable or disable login to your school.
- Sign Up Process – Choose who can sign up for your school.
- Sign Up Fields – Choose and customize your signup fields.
- Terms and Conditions – Choose whether a terms and conditions checkbox will appear on the sign up form.
- Password Options – Decide whether users can hide or show their password and whether they are required to confirm their password when they sign up.
- Password Strength – Set your password rules.
The third tab is Social. You can allow users to sign up to your LearnWorlds school using their social media accounts.
The next tab is Custom SSO. Here you can activate your SSO solution.
The final tab is SAML. You can use this section to enable SAML for user authentication.
reCAPTCHA
Google has a service called reCAPTCHA. It is a free tool that can protect your website from fraud and abuse.
You can activate it here by checking the box and entering your site key and secret key.
