Livestorm doesn’t offer a native mobile app for IOS or Android, which is one of its main advantages. The reason is simple: You don’t need an app to use Livestorm’s powerful web conferencing and online meeting software.

Instead, it is a browser-based software that you can use to power and share real-time streams. It is highly responsive and works seamlessly on desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and small-screen mobile phones.

Is Livestorm Mobile Responsive?

Livestorm works with most of today’s popular browsers and is 100% mobile responsive. Because it doesn’t rely on an app, it doesn’t affect your device’s performance or take up storage space.

The design of Livestorm enables anyone to access its video communication platform, and it’s ultra-easy to use. All you need is the URL and a modern browser, and you have the tools for a great webinar or online meeting.

The design team has left it up to hosts and attendees to decide how they want to participate – on desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile.

If you’ve got an Android phone, you can enjoy real-time live streaming, regardless of your OS version.

iPhone users also have live streaming, but if you’re on IOS 10-12, you can expect a 10-15 second delay.

This lag will ensure you get the best quality, and you’ll hardly notice it. If you’re using an old iPhone running on IOS 9 or older, live streaming won’t work.

Can You Host a Webinar or Meeting on Mobile With Livestorm?

One of the highlights we love is that you can hold all meetings, webinars, and online events on mobile and desktop browsers.

But for online streaming, you will need to use an Android mobile or tablet or an iPhone or iPad with an IOS greater than 12.1 (only with Safari).

Livestorm recommends that presenters use the latest version of Google Chrome, although other browsers do work. You will need a desktop or laptop computer to share your screen and webcam.

Some mobile/tablet devices allow you to join the online state to share your webcam and audio.

Bottom Line

You don’t need an app to communicate with the rest of the world using Livestorm.

You can enjoy live streaming and host webinars, meetings, and every type of online event you want.

The software is browser-based, and so all you need is the Livestorm URL and a modern, up-to-date browser. That’s it!

The software embraces many aspects of universality that provide great flexibility for all online events.

It’s mobile-friendly and optimized to work on the full range of mobile/tablet devices.
