Is There a Teachable Marketplace?

If you perform a search for a “Teachable marketplace,” you will likely find some old information about a platform called “Discover by Teachable” – a now abandoned project.

What Happened to Discover by Teachable?

What Happened to Discover by Teachable?

In late 2019, Teachable announced they were launching “Discover by Teachable.” This was to be a marketplace featuring a curated collection of courses that customers could browse and purchase.

A site was launched, and the project entered the beta and testing phase, but it would appear that’s as far as it went.

Searching for information about it brings up very little, bar a single blog post announcement on the Teachable platform. The source code of this page reveals it was originally published on 31st October 2019.

There is a website in existence: discover-by.teachable.com, but there is only a single course option displayed. On the purchase page, it states it’s the 2020 edition, so it would appear that it has not been updated recently.

Given what little you can find on the subject, it’s safe to say that Discover by Teachable is a defunct and discontinued project.
