  • You must change the default text and legal pages to your chosen language

Is the Teachable Platform Available in Multiple Languages?

At present, the Teachable platform is only available in the English language. There is no option to translate it into something else.

However, if you want to offer courses in a language other than English, this is entirely possible. All you have to do is create your course in your chosen language.

It’s straightforward to add lesson content. Simply write the titles and text in the language you want to use and ensure any media or documents you upload are also in the same language.

How to Change the Default Text into Another Language (Step by Step)

To ensure a seamless experience, you must also take care to customize the default text.

This text is set by Teachable and includes things like buttons, notifications, navigation links, and the privacy policy. Unless you change these manually, they will continue to display in English.

Fortunately, the default text can be changed quickly and easily.

How to Change the Default Text into Another Language

Step 1: Log into your Teachable school and click “Site” from the left-hand menu bar.

Step 2: Next, click “Custom Text” in the left-hand menu.

Step 3: A list of all default text will now be displayed. In the center, you can see what the current default text is for each item. Then, to the right, there is a box where you can customize it.

Move down the list, changing each item into the text of your chosen language. When you’re done, click “Save” in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Step 4: The next job is to translate the preset pages into your chosen language. Select “Pages” from the left-hand menu.

Step 5: You will now see two pages listed that are automatically added by Teachable: the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Select “Edit” on the page you wish to translate.

Now, when users navigate your course material or web pages, all text will now be displayed in the correct language, and no English will be shown.
