Key Takeaways:

Does Teachable Have a Blogging Feature?
Teachable does not have a blogging feature available on any of its plans.
The platform did include the ability to blog, but it was removed from the platform in June 2021.
Teachable schools that had the blog feature enabled prior to June 2021 were able to keep their blogs, but any new schools or existing schools that didn’t have the blogging feature enabled were no longer able to use it.
However, it is still possible to use a blog with Teachable. To do so, you must integrate the platform with DropInBlog – a third-party blogging app.
This platform provides an easy, no-code way to blog with user commenting and social sharing features enabled. Plans cost from $49/month after a 14-day free trial.
How to Integrate Teachable With DropInBlog (Step by Step)
To get started you need:
- A Teachable Pro plan or higher
- A DropInBlog account
Step 1: Log into your DropInBlog account. Leave the page up in your browser and open a new browser tab.
Step 2: In the new browser tab, log into your Teachable school, select “Settings” and then “App Hub.” Scroll the page until you see the DropInBlog integration button and click on it.
Step 3: Select “Install” in the top-right corner. A pop-up will appear notifying you that DropInBlog will be able to access certain information about your Teachable school. Click “Install” to continue.
The integration is now complete and you can now use DropInBlog with Teachable.
How to Add a Blog to Teachable (Step by Step)
Step 1: Log into your Teachable school, head to “Site,” and then select “Pages.” Underneath the listed pages there is an “Add New Page” button. Click this to continue.
Step 2: In the editing screen, toggle off the header and footer switches and give your page name a title and description. For simplicity, we’ve called ours “Blog.”
Step 3: In the “Site Page” section select “Add New Block.”
Step 4: Head to the bottom of the list where it says “Apps.” The DropInBlog option will be displayed here. Click on it then “Add.”
Your DropInBlog blog posts will now appear on the page. Customize the page by adding any other desired blocks or elements and when you’re ready hit “Publish” in the top-right corner.
Step 5: Back in the “Pages” section, you will see that Teachable has assigned the page a random URL so you’re going to need to rename it.
Click on the three dots to the right of your newly created blog page and select “Rename Page URL.” Give the URL a more appropriate name and hit “Save.”
Your blog page is now ready!
