Kajabi 30-Day Free Trial: Pick Any Plan

We may earn commissions if you buy via links on our website. Commissions don’t affect our opinions or evaluations. Learn more.

You can get an extended 30-day free trial for Kajabi. That’s more than twice the length of its usual free trial of 14 days.

This trial gives you plenty of time to test out the platform and get used to its features.

Key Takeaways:

  • Choose the Kickstarter, Basic, Growth, or Pro plan
  • Save between $89-$399, depending on the plan you choose
  • A 30-day money-back guarantee is also available

Which Kajabi Plan Is Best for the 30-Day Trial?

Which Kajabi Plan Is Best for the 30-Day Trial?

Kajabi gives you four plans to choose from. But which one should you go for?

Really, it depends on what stage you are at in your business journey, plus what you can afford to spend each month once the free trial ends.

Before we dig into the details of each plan, here’s a quick overview:

Basic3New businesses$179
Growth15Scaling businesses$249
Pro100Established creators$499
four plans to choose from

Kickstarter Plan Free Trial

Kickstarter Plan Free Trial

The Kickstarter plan is designed as an entry-level option for those starting from scratch. As in, you don’t yet have any products to sell, and you haven’t yet got an audience or a business up and running.

Or, at $89 per month, it’s a decent enough option if you only plan to sell one product to a very small audience.

It gives you the ability to create and sell one product (course, coaching package, etc.), plus a community. So, technically, you can sell two products, but one of them must be a community.

Other features are quite restrictive, too:

  • Contacts: 250
  • Admin users: 1
  • No custom domain

Keep in mind that these are not monthly quotas. Once you’ve sent 7,500 emails, for example, you cannot send any more unless you upgrade your plan.

It’s also missing some of the features you get on the higher plans.

Basic Plan Free Trial

The Basic plan gives you more wriggle room than the Kickstarter and usually costs $179 per month. This is still a good option for new businesses, but I think it’s a better choice than Kickstarter if you already have an audience and aren’t starting from scratch.

The feature limits are more generous, allowing you to create up to five products of your choice. Additionally, you can have:

  • Contacts: 2,500
  • Admin users: 1
  • Custom domain enabled
  • Third-party integrations

While the Basic plan is still, well, basic, it will allow you to get your business started without having to upgrade your plan in the middle of it all.

Growth Plan Free Trial

The Growth plan is apparently Kajabi’s most popular option, and, in my opinion, it does provide the best value overall.

While the price point of $249 per month is likely too high for beginners, for a business that’s already set up, it’s not too crazy a cost.

And the feature limits are dramatically improved here. You get up to 50 products, everything noted in the previous plans, plus:

  • Contacts: 25,000
  • Admin users: 10
  • Remove Kajabi branding
  • Affiliate program
  • Advanced automations
  • Universal inbox
  • Comment to DM
  • Cohort courses
  • Webhooks

When you compare this to the limits of the Basic plan, you can see that getting 10x the product limits for $70 extra per month is a pretty good deal.

Pro Plan Free Trial

Finally, we have the Pro plan. With its hefty price tag of $499 per month, this is definitely a plan for those who have fully established businesses on the go.

Of course, it gives the most generous feature limits, so I recommend this option if you’re looking to expand into other areas or increase your existing product range.

Here are the Pro plan limits and additional features:

  • Products: Unlimited
  • Contacts: 100,000
  • Admin users: 25
  • Dedicated success manager
  • API
  • Video transcriptions and translations
  • Custom code editor

The biggest advantage is that this is the only plan that includes the branded mobile app within the subscription cost. Essentially, you can build a white-label app customized to your needs rather than using the Kajabi-branded one (which is available to all plans).

For non-Pro plan users, the branded app is offered as an add-on at a cost of $199 per month.

Not Sure? Let Kajabi Figure It Out

If you’re really stuck on which plan to choose for the free trial, Kajabi offers a handy questionnaire to help you make a decision. After you complete it, it will suggest the best plan for where you are in your business journey.

How to Sign Up for the Kajabi 30-Day Free Trial (Quick Guide)

Decided which plan you need? Great!

All you need to do now is actually sign up for it.

Don’t head to Kajabi.com because you’ll only find the 14-day free trial there. Instead, head to this page, where you will find the 30-day free trial.

Select the desired plan and input your email address (or sign up using your Google credentials).

complete the online form

Next, complete the online form, including your credit card details.

A couple of things to note:

  • Take care to select a monthly or annual payment because this determines how much you are charged when the free trial ends.
  • Although you have to enter payment details, you won’t be charged at any point during the free trial.
  • If you have signed up for a free trial in the past, you won’t be able to reuse the same email address. Therefore, pick a new email address to use.

Once you’ve completed and submitted the form, you’re in! You can start using Kajabi right away.

Kajabi Free Trial Feature Restrictions

Kajabi Free Trial Feature Restrictions

Good news: There aren’t any!

Kajabi used to restrict sending marketing emails during the free trial period, but they have since removed the restriction.

You can use Kajabi just as a paying customer would, including making sales and running marketing campaigns.

What Happens When the Free Trial Ends?

What Happens When the Free Trial Ends?

If you let the free trial run its course, you will be charged the subscription fee of your chosen plan.

If you opted for monthly billing, you’ll be charged the monthly fee. If you choose annual billing, you’ll be charged for the entire year upfront.

Five Ways to End the Kajabi Free Trial

1. Cancel It

1. Cancel It

If you’ve decided that Kajabi isn’t the platform for you, it’s easy to cancel your account altogether.

If you do this before the free trial period expires, you will not be charged a cent.

To do this, click on your name in the top-right corner and select Account Settings.

Then, select Subscription > Change plan.

Subscription > Change plan.

Scroll to the bottom of the next screen, and you’ll find the option to cancel. Click and follow the instructions to complete the cancellation process.

2. See If There’s an Offer Available

2. See If There’s an Offer Available

If you’re planning to keep your Kajabi subscription once the free trial ends, you should definitely check to see if this option is available.

Start the account cancellation process as outlined above. Kajabi will present you with a series of persuasive tactics to try to prevent you from canceling.

One of them may be an offer.

For example, when I did it, I was offered three months of my current plan for $99. Bargain!

Activating this will end the free trial and charge your card, so only do it when the trial is about to expire.

If you don’t see an offer within the cancellation process, try contacting customer support to see if they can do anything. It’s worth a shot.

3. Downgrade or Upgrade Your Plan

3. Downgrade or Upgrade Your Plan

If you like Kajabi but your chosen plan isn’t working for you, you can downgrade or upgrade it by selecting Change Plan in the Subscriptions tab.

Here, you can select any other plan and switch from monthly to annual billing.

However, doing so will immediately end the free trial, and your card will be charged the new rate.

If you still want to take advantage of the free trial period, I recommend performing this step just before the trial is due to expire.

4. Pause the Account

4. Pause the Account

Another option is to pause your account. This costs $29 per month, and you won’t have access to any of the features while it’s in a paused state.

However, Kajabi will retain the account as it is and won’t delete any of the data. In contrast, canceling your account altogether means that all your assets and data will be deleted.

Essentially, this is only worth doing if you have created a lot of assets in Kajabi and want to keep them. If you haven’t used Kajabi much, don’t bother with this option.

5. Pay for Current Plan

5. Pay for Current Plan

If, for some reason, you don’t like free stuff and want to pay right away, you can activate your current plan.

This removes the free trial and charges your card immediately.

There’s not really much point to this, but the option is there nonetheless.

Kajabi Free Trial Extension: Is It Possible?

There are no official free trial extensions, but there are a few clever workarounds you can try.

Ask Customer Support

Ask Customer Support

It’s always worth having a chat with customer support about a free trial extension.

Be aware, though, that you’ll probably have to give a good reason for wanting the extension. Plus, if you’ve been using Kajabi extensively and making sales throughout the current trial period, they are unlikely to grant an extension.

Always ask politely. The nicer you are, the more likely they are to consider your request.

Use the 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Use the 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Kajabi has a 30-day money-back guarantee for all new customers.

What that means is that if you pay for a subscription, you can get a full refund as long as you request it within 30 days of paying.

So, you can use the 30-day free trial, pay for your subscription, and then request your money back.

Doing this gives you up to 60 days of free use. However, the drawback is that you have to temporarily give up some cash. Still, it’s a good option to use if you’re still undecided about Kajabi when your free trial ends.

Sign Up for Another Free Trial

Sign Up for Another Free Trial

There’s actually nothing stopping you from canceling your current trial and signing up for another one using a different email address.

In fact, you can do this as many times as you like.

The only thing is that you’ll be starting with a fresh account each time. Therefore, I only recommend this option if you want to test something out or if you haven’t used your initial free trial.

Frequently Asked Questions

There is no 45-day free trial currently available on Kajabi. Although Kajabi has offered longer trials in the past, it’s rare, and there hasn’t been a 45-day trial for a couple of years.

There is no 60-day free trial currently available on Kajabi. However, you can use the 30-day free trial and 30-day money-back guarantee to use Kajabi for free for 60 days.
