Mighty Networks is not an all-in-one platform, and to get full functionality, you need to use a couple of third-party integrations.
While integrations are limited, the platform does support embeds, which can seriously elevate your content and help drive engagement.
Key Takeaways:
- Embeds allow you to add content from over 2,000 third-party apps
- You need Stripe to take payments and Zoom for live events
- Zapier supports Mighty Networks integration with over 5,000 apps
Mighty Networks Prefers Embeds to Integrations

You’ll notice that the number of integrations that Mighty Networks offers is pretty scarce. However, what it does have is the ability to embed code from a huge number of third-party sites (over 2,000).
The feature allows you to easily pull content from all over the web and add it to your communities.
This means you can instantly add videos, images, documents, designs, quizzes, infographics, articles, and a whole lot more!
What Are Embeds, Exactly?

Embeds are snippets of code taken from content you create or find on third-party websites. When you add the code to Mighty Networks, the content will magically appear on the screen.
Let’s take Canva, for example. If you want to embed a design you have created using this app, all you have to do is grab the embed code for it. This can be found under the Share options.
What Makes Them Ideal for Mighty Networks?

Mighty Networks is based on community engagement. To generate that engagement, you have to post content frequently.
Coming up with unique content on your own can get challenging very quickly (not to mention it will take up all of your time).
Embedding content from third-party sites makes your job a lot easier. You can post relevant and interesting things that generate conversation and interest.
For example, if you see a quick tutorial on Instagram or YouTube that your community members will like, you can quickly post it.Â
And, thanks to the embed capabilities, the finished result looks polished on any device.
How to Add Mighty Networks Embeds to Your Community
Embed codes can be added directly to your Mighty Networks landing pages, events, courses, articles, and pages.
First, you must go to the third-party site in question and copy the embed code for the item you want to add.
Then, head back into Mighty Networks and:
- Start creating one of the items listed above.Â
- Click anywhere on the page until you see the + sign appear.
- Clicking the + sign will bring up the page options. Find the embed option and select it.
- Paste your code in the space provided and hit Save.
Your embedded element will now appear on the page. It’s as easy as that!
2 Mighty Networks Integrations You Must Have
As I said, there aren’t many native integrations to pick from, but here are two that I think you’ll struggle without.
Both Stripe and Zoom integrations are available on all Mighty Networks pricing plans.
Stripe

If you intend to make money from your community at any stage, you will need a payment gateway set up.
Mighty Networks lacks a native payment facility, so your only option here is to set up and use Stripe.
Once you’ve connected the platform with Stripe, you can create pricing plans for your community spaces and start making sales on courses and other content.
Zoom

This is an area where I feel Mighty Networks lets itself down.
For starters, the platform does have its own native livestream feature.Â
In any of your community spaces, you can click the +Create button and opt to go live right away.

I really don’t know why this option isn’t available for any events you set up. I mean, the platform obviously has the capability to do it.
Anyway, if you do want to run a live scheduled event, you must connect with an external livestream service.Â
For this purpose, the platform offers direct integration with Zoom. Alternatively, you can add a link to an alternative live-stream platform.
I recommend using the Zoom integration, though, because it reduces the chance of technical glitches and removes the requirement for your audience to leave the community and visit a third-party app.
3 Mighty Networks Integrations You Should Have
Kit

Kit (rebranded from ConvertKit) is Mighty Networks’ answer to marketing features.
You’ve probably already noticed that Mighty Networks offers next to nothing in terms of external marketing. Instead, it wants you to use Kit to run email campaigns and create landing pages for specific offers.
Google Analytics

I’ll always recommend linking with Google Analytics because it’s a free tool that gives you valuable insights into your traffic and user behavior.
The only catch is that this integration is not available on the Mighty Networks Community plan.
Quaderno

No one really enjoys dealing with taxes. Unless you’re a bookkeeper or accountant, there’s just so much potential to get something wrong.
Mighty Networks does not collect and process sales tax on your sales. So, instead of trying to do it manually yourself, I recommend integrating with Quaderno.
This will make your life a whole lot easier and automatically process taxes on your behalf.
The database covers over 12,000 tax jurisdictions, so no matter who you sell to in the world, this platform will get the tax obligations right.
For Everything Else, Use Zapier

If you happen to use other platforms for marketing, etc., you can still connect them to Mighty Networks.
To do this, you must use Zapier. So, it’s a bit more complicated than integrating apps directly, but at least it doesn’t involve using code!
Zapier connects with over 5,000 apps, so there’s a very good chance your platform of choice is included.
Zapier is free if you perform fewer than 100 tasks per month. Paid plans start at $20 per month, depending on the number of tasks you need it to perform.
