ClickFunnels 2.0 vs Funnel Builder

ClickFunnels 2.0 Funnel Builder

ClickFunnels 2.0 Funnel Builder

When ClickFunnels 2.0 launched in 2014, it was simply a funnel-building platform. Since then, it has had plenty of time to refine this tool, and it shows.

Building funnels is really straightforward and quite fun, too! If you’re not sure where to start, the platform provides “recipes,” which are essentially templates of prebuilt funnels for different purposes.

Each funnel is mapped out on the screen so that you can see how each funnel step flows into the next. You also get plenty of great-looking funnel page templates to pick from, which are edited using the drag-and-drop tool.

Funnels can have automation added and also be connected to email campaigns, so you can create complete marketing workflows. Funnel Builder Funnel Builder has a very basic selection of templates for webinars, sales, and building an audience. Then it is up to you to build in the additional funnel steps as needed.

While this doesn’t take long to understand, it’s not as visually appealing as ClickFunnels 2.0, and its page templates are not as fresh and modern looking.

Automation can be added over in the workflows tab, and you can also connect your funnels to email marketing.

Overall, you can get’s funnels to perform the same functions as ClickFunnels 2.0; it just may take you a little longer to achieve it.

Winner Is ClickFunnels 2.0

ClickFunnels 2.0 looks and performs better than Its user interface provides a more pleasant experience, and the tools within the funnel-building feature are more sophisticated.

However, is not far behind, and if you don’t mind the interface and putting in a little extra work, you can get the same results.

ClickFunnels 2.0 vs Page-Building Tools

ClickFunnels 2.0 Website and Landing Page Builder

ClickFunnels 2.0 Website and Landing Page Builder

ClickFunnels 2.0 has two parts to its page-building capabilities. First, you must select a theme for your website. This kind of works like a Shopify or WordPress theme; you install it and then go in and customize the look and layout.

customize the look and layout

Then, you also have a “Pages” section where you can create and edit different pages as needed. For example, you can create standalone pages, funnel pages, website pages, and pages in your selected theme. The platform also has a blog section where you can set up a blog and add article pages. Of course, there are tons of page templates to pick from.

It can be a bit confusing to work out which page is for what purpose, but there are plenty of guides within the platform that contain useful walkthroughs and tips.

All pages are edited using the drag-and-drop tool, which is intuitive and fast to master. Page-Building Tools Page-Building Tools doesn’t have a dedicated page-building tool. Instead, you can either create a funnel or a blog and use it as a website. This is somewhat difficult to get your head around at first and doesn’t really make sense.

What you’re meant to do is use the funnel builder for any sales-based sites and the blog builder for non-sales sites.

The drag-and-drop editing tool is okay, but not the best we’ve used. The funnel-building editor is more intuitive, but the blog editor takes some understanding and effort to learn.

Overall, it seems like a clunky way to create web pages, and it would be better if there was a separate tool to create them.

Winner Is ClickFunnels 2.0

There’s just far more diversity in what you can do inside ClickFunnels 2.0. You have a great selection of page creation options, and each building tool is separate from the next.

While does let you build websites, its tools simply aren’t on par with ClickFunnels 2.0, and we found them somewhat frustrating to use.

ClickFunnels 2.0 vs Email Marketing

ClickFunnels 2.0 Email Marketing

ClickFunnels 2.0 Email Marketing

ClickFunnels has all bases covered for email marketing. All plans let you send out unlimited emails, and these can either be an automated sequence or a catch-all broadcast.

The platform has provided loads of stylish email templates that you can pick from and then edit using the same drag-and-drop editing tool as before. Countdown timers, videos, images, stickers, buttons, and more can be added to your emails to bring them to life. Email Marketing Email Marketing

You can also send out unlimited emails from regardless of your plan (even the free one). However, the interface looks somewhat dated, and its templates are somewhat limited and uninspiring.

You can use to send out automated sequences and single broadcasts (although calls them “newsletters”) but you really can’t add much to them beyond images, buttons, and text.

Winner Is ClickFunnels 2.0

If you’re only after a basic emailer, then will do just fine so long as you don’t mind the dated-looking tools. Alternatively, ClickFunnels 2.0 can deliver stunning-looking emails with all the bells and whistles you could ever want.

Put simply: you can do way more with ClickFunnels 2.0 emails than you can with

ClickFunnels 2.0 vs CRM Features

ClickFunnels 2.0 CRM Features

ClickFunnels 2.0 CRM Features

ClickFunnels 2.0 claims to have a CRM feature “coming soon,” but there’s no indication of when. The feature is already displayed on the menu under “Sales,” and we can see that it will include opportunity pipelines, appointments, reputation management, phone calls, and lead scoring.

For now, all you can do is organize your contacts into lists, add filters, create attributes and organize them into segments. CRM Features CRM Features

The extent of’s CRM features doesn’t extend much further than contacts lists and adding tags. Contacts can be organized and filtered, then on the dashboard page, you can view your new leads and sales revenue. That’s about it.

Winner Is: It’s a Draw

Right now, both platforms have extremely limited CRM features. Beyond creating and organizing contact lists, there’s nothing much else you can do.

However, when ClickFunnels 2.0 finally launches its CRM feature, it’s going to blow out of the water.

ClickFunnels 2.0 vs Course Builder

ClickFunnels 2.0 Course Builder

ClickFunnels 2.0 Course Builder

The ClickFunnels 2.0 course creator works like its page-building tools. You pick a theme, and then each lesson contains a page that you can customize using the same drag-and-drop tool as the page builder.

This gives you endless customization options including adding videos, text, files, and more. Plus, you can use any of ClickFunnels 2.0 page templates for your lessons.

Divide your lessons into modules and offer your courses for free or charge for them with flexible payment options. You can also create a membership site and offer a variety of course content within it.

A couple of things lacking here are a community feature and the ability to run native live streams. We feel a platform as advanced as this should probably have these things available. Course Builder Course Builder

The course-building tool is actually pretty decent. The drag-and-drop tool works well and enables you to create comprehensive lessons and modules. You can add video, images, files, and text to support learning but sadly, there is no live-streaming feature available.

The platform also has a community feature where you can create spaces for your customers to congregate and engage with each other. It’s basic, though, and you can’t do much with it beyond posting and responding to posts.

Courses can be free or paid either as a one-time fee or on a subscription basis.

Winner Is: It’s a Draw

While it feels you can do more with the ClickFunnels 2.0 course-building feature, both platforms are actually pretty similar when it comes to functionality. The ClickFunnels 2.0 building tool is better than’s, but on the other hand, has a community feature available.

ClickFunnels 2.0 vs User Experience

ClickFunnels 2.0 User Experience

ClickFunnels 2.0 User Experience

It’s plain to see that ClickFunnels 2.0 has gone to great lengths to provide a sleek and intuitive user interface. Navigating the platform is a breeze, and you can usually find what you’re looking for without too much effort.

If you don’t understand how to do something, there are little “?” icons that you can click on to get an explanation, plus you can access help articles inside of the platform while you’re working.

Overall, this is one smooth-running platform with no issues to report. User Experience User Experience seems to have its own way of doing things which is somewhat different to other major course-building and marketing platforms. As such, there is a learning curve.

Once you get the hang of it all, the platform works well but you might experience the odd glitch here and there.

We’d love to see update its interface. Compared with ClickFunnels 2.0, it does look dated and could do with a facelift.

Winner Is ClickFunnels 2.0

We can’t fault the user experience of ClickFunnels 2.0. It’s beginner-friendly and runs so smoothly that it’s a joy to navigate. While you won’t dislike using, it’s got a way to come before it’s on the same level as ClickFunnels 2.0.

ClickFunnels 2.0 vs Help and Support

ClickFunnels 2.0 Help and Support

ClickFunnels 2.0 Help and Support

There’s plenty of support available in ClickFunnels 2.0. First, its knowledge base is packed full of articles that are written in plain English. Most include a video so you get a great visual reference. However, this is not as comprehensive as it could be and lacks articles in some areas.

You can get in touch with the ClickFunnels 2.0 team either by sending an email or using the live chat.

We have to say that its live chat response is fantastic. Although it’s not available 24/7, the agents do get back to you ASAP, and if they’re online, their response is immediate.

What we especially like is that when you need help with something within your ClickFunnels 2.0 account that can’t be explained via text, an agent will go in and record a Loom video that walks you through it. Help and Support Help and Support has decent Knowledge Base and Video Tutorial help sections where you will find guides and walkthroughs teaching you how to use the platform and its features. In our experience, it’s comprehensive and detailed enough that you don’t need to seek any further help.

One way that keeps its prices low is by limiting the support options. You can only contact the team via email, and while you don’t usually wait longer than a few hours for a response, don’t expect anything immediate.

Winner Is ClickFunnels 2.0

Having bespoke Loom videos made to help us goes beyond our expectations and makes us feel like ClickFunnels 2.0 has our back. We can’t fault the level of support this platform provides.

ClickFunnels 2.0 vs Conclusion

Overall, there’s no doubt that ClickFunnels 2.0 is the better, more modern, and more sophisticated platform of the two. Its user interface is excellent, and it has taken the time to provide an intuitive and smooth experience. feels quite dated and clunky in comparison, but that doesn’t mean you should rule it out:

  • Choose ClickFunnels 2.0 if you want high-quality, sophisticated tools and don’t mind the high price point.
  • Choose if you’re fine with basic but well-functioning tools and are on a budget.
