Systeme.io isn’t as well known as similar platforms, but it can hold its own.

Plus, it costs significantly less than the competition and is one of the only platforms still offering a free plan.

I’ve done the research to see if it’s as great of a value as it seems.

Key Takeaways:

  • Startup plan: $27/month, Webinar plan: $47/month, Unlimited plan: $97/month
  • Pay 30% less by opting for an annual subscription
  • The free plan is free for life!

How Much Does Systeme.io Cost?

How Much Does Systeme.io Cost?

Systeme.io is one of the cheapest platforms around, so it’s a great option for anyone who wants a basic platform without having to pay through the nose.

We’ll talk about the free plan in a moment, so let’s go through the paid plans:

PlanMonthly costMonthly cost paid annuallyTotal annual costDiscount for annual payment
Startup$27$19$22830%
Webinar$47$33$39630%
Unlimited$97$69$82830%

As you can see, the paid plans start at $27 per month, which is significantly cheaper than similar platforms (Kajabi starts at $89 per month).

does not include sales tax

One thing to be aware of is that Systeme’io’s pricing does not include sales tax upfront. Instead, it will be added to the final price of your order.

The amount you pay in sales tax depends on where you are in the world. I’m in Europe, so the sales tax is 20%.

Is the Systeme.io Free Plan Really Free?

Is the Systeme.io Free Plan Really Free?

You betcha!

The Systeme.io free plan is like a unicorn among course-building and marketing platforms—rare and almost too good to be true!

While other course builders have eliminated their free plans (Thinkific, Teachable, and Podia—I’m looking at you), Systeme.io remains steady.

And it’s truly free. There are no pesky transaction fees to worry about (besides what you’d normally pay via Stripe), so you can use it to make sales, get your business off the ground, and keep what you earn.

As you would expect, it’s limited. You can only create and sell one course, for example. But, it’s plenty enough to get started.

As long as you keep within the plan’s limits, you can use it indefinitely.

How to Get the Cheapest Price on a Systeme.io Paid Plan

If you want more functionality, then, of course, you have to sign up for a paid plan. However, there are a couple of ways to get it cheaper.

Save 40% on the Start Plan

Save 40% on the Start Plan

If you head to this page, you can get the Startup plan for $16.40 per month (paid annually).

Although the savings aren’t huge, you still save an extra 10% compared to the standard annual cost. So, it’s worth doing.

Here’s a quick comparison:

DealMonthly cost paid annuallyTotal annual costDiscount for annual payment
Standard$19$22830%
Discounted offer$16.40$196.8039%

Pay Annually

Pay Annually

If you want the higher Startup plan, the cheapest way to get it is to pay annually instead of monthly.

You get a healthy 30% discount, which lasts as long as you keep your annual subscription.

If you switch to monthly, you’ll lose the discount and pay the full rate.

What Does Each Systeme.io Pricing Plan Include?

Startup Plan

Startup Plan

The Startup plan gives you a good base on which to kick off your business.

All emails, students, community members, and blog posts are unlimited. However, the rest of the features carry upper limits.

For instance, you can have:

  • 10 sales funnels with 50 steps in total
  • Five courses and five communities
  • Five automated workflows and 10 automation rules
  • Sales tools (coupons, bumps, etc.) are limited to 10 each
  • Up to 5,000 contacts

For the price, this is a generous amount of features. You can start scaling and making good money without needing to upgrade.

Webinar Plan

Webinar Plan

For higher plan limits, you can go for the Webinar plan. As you can probably guess, this also unlocks the webinar feature.

However, be aware that the webinar functionality in Systeme.io is limited. There are no live stream capabilities. So, essentially, what you can do is create funnels that contain evergreen, prerecorded webinars.

Here’s what those higher plan limits look like:

  • 50 sales funnels with 300 steps in total
  • 20 courses and 20 communities
  • 100 automated workflows and 20 automation rules
  • Sales tools (coupons, bumps, etc.) limited to 100 or 50 each
  • Up to 10,000 contacts
  • 10 webinars

Really, I only recommend this plan if you have exhausted the Startup plan’s limits or want to add evergreen webinars to your marketing strategy.

Unlimited Plan

Unlimited Plan

Unlimited means unlimited! All features can be used as many times as you like. So, if you want to create a lot of micro offers (like digital downloads), this is one of the cheapest platforms and plans with which to do it.

You also get a couple of extra perks:

  • If you’re migrating assets over from another platform, the Unlimited plan will let you do it for no extra cost.
  • A one-to-one coaching session with a Systeme.io expert is offered (though there’s no indication of how long this lasts).

As I said, if you want to focus on selling high quantities of digital products, this is a super-affordable choice. Similar platforms cost around and upwards of $400 per month for unlimited features across the board.

Are There Any Add-On Costs for Systeme.io?

Are There Any Add-On Costs for Systeme.io?

There are no add-on costs for using Systeme.io, which is a rare thing.

You’ll pay the transaction fees of the payment gateway you choose, but that’s standard on any platform.

How Does Systeme.io Pricing Compare with Similar Platforms?

How Does Systeme.io Pricing Compare with Similar Platforms?

Systeme.io is by far the cheapest platform out there of its kind.

But you do get what you pay for.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great platform, but it is basic. The user interface looks dated, and its tools are not as sophisticated as the more expensive alternatives:

PlatformCheapest Plan (per month)Most Expensive Plan (per month)Discount for Paying Annually
Systeme.io$27$9730%
Kajabi $89$39920%
Kartra $119$54917% – 22%
LearnWorlds$29$29920%
Thinkific$49$19925%

Bottom Line: Systeme.io Is Affordable But Basic

Bottom Line: Systeme.io Is Affordable But Basic

I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again: Systeme.io is a fantastic, ultra-cheap platform if you’re willing to overlook its limited functionality.

That’s why I recommend it for simple micro offers rather than full-blown, complex learning products.

For instance, if you’re selling ebooks, mini-courses, and digital downloads, you’ll find it has what you need. On the other hand, if you want a graded course with live video, a platform like Kajabi or LearnWorlds would be much more suitable.
