Systeme.io consistently ranks as one of the top platforms to use for marketing and selling digital and physical products.

It has great customer reviews and very affordable prices.

But is it worth the hype and, more importantly, your time and money?

Systeme.io Review: Quick Summary

Key Takeaways:

  • Systeme.io provides a decent range of features for an excellent price
  • Most features are user-friendly, but some could do with improvement
  • Customers love the platform, and third-party review scores are high

Overall, Systeme.io is a well-functioning platform with a solid range of available features. Everything runs smoothly, and the user experience is decent.

And you can’t ignore how exceptionally good value its prices are, nor the generous free plan it provides.

However, some features are not up to standard – particularly the community and email-building tools. While it’s great for beginners, advanced users are likely to prefer more sophisticated platforms.

Review of Systeme.io’s Features

What does Systeme.io offer its subscribers? The platform claims to be “all-in-one,” so let’s see if this is truly the case.

Sales Funnels

Sales Funnels

The Systeme.io funnel builder is a key feature of the platform, and we must say they’ve done a decent job of it.

There’s a large array of attractive page templates to choose from that are fully customizable. Editing them is quick and painless, thanks to the drag-and-drop interface.

The feature lets you create as many funnel steps as you need in order to fulfill your goal.

Whether that’s collecting data, selling digital or physical products, running a webinar, or building an audience, there are plenty of preset funnel steps that you can add.

We also like the inclusion of handy revenue-increasing tools such as order bumps, upselling, and more.

Our one gripe with the funnel builder is that there are no complete funnel templates.

Instead, you can only select a template for each funnel page.

This makes it more time-consuming because you have to go in and adjust each individual page to get a cohesive look.

Blogs

Blogs

The blog feature is interesting because you have to use it to make standard websites, too.

Quite why Systeme.io has chosen this method rather than including a standalone website builder, we’re not sure. If you know about it, it’s fine, but it can be confusing for platform newcomers.

The blog builder makes use of the same drag-and-drop editing tool as the funnel builder, so it’s pretty simple to get the page and post layouts looking the way you want them to.

You have a limited number of templates to choose from, but you can add in more site pages if needed.

All in all, it’s not the best site creation tool we’ve seen or used, but it’s certainly not the worst.

It could do with better templates, and it would also be more intuitive if there were a clearer distinction drawn between the blog and website-building elements.

Email Campaigns

Email Campaigns

This is probably our least favorite feature on the entire platform, and the reason for this is the lack of decent templates.

The email campaign builder has a measly two to choose from.

Furthermore, they’re pretty outdated compared with competitor platform templates. Don’t expect to be able to do anything fancy here beyond inserting text, an image, or a button.

We’d love to see this feature improved later down the line. For now, it’s good for sending out basic email campaigns, but it’s not going to set the world on fire.

Course and Communities

Course and Communities

The course-building feature is perfectly adequate for the average user. Create lessons and modules and add in videos, images, and files to support the learning. You have a range of payment options available, including subscription-based payments, or you can make the courses accessible for free.

Although you can upload pre-recorded videos, the platform does not support live video hosting or broadcasting, which is a shame.

The community feature is ultra-basic. Besides posting text and images and adding comments to posts, there’s little else you can do in there.

If you plan to use the community feature as an extension of one of your courses, it’ll just about do the job but having a community as a standalone product? It’s definitely not advanced enough for that.

Automation

Automation

When it comes to automation, the platform allows you a good degree of control. You can create basic automation “rules” that consist of a trigger followed by an action, or you can make more detailed automated workflows.

While Systeme.io’s automation is somewhat limited compared with more sophisticated platforms such as Kajabi or GoHighLevel, it’s still comprehensive enough to automate the most mundane tasks, such as enrolling people on courses and subscribing contacts to campaigns.

Additionally, we say this is the perfect tool to use if you’re brand new to marketing automation. This is due to its ease of use and the fact you can try it for free.

Integrations

Integrations

Aside from six payment providers, there are virtually no direct integrations available with Systeme.io. It’s probably the least amount we’ve seen out of all similar platforms.

On the plus side, you can use Zapier to connect with third-party software, but this adds an additional layer of complication and potentially costs more since Zapier is not 100% free.

Review of Systeme.io’s User Experience

Systeme.io User Experience

Having played extensively with the user interface, we feel that it is one of the easier platforms to master.

Most of the tools are straightforward and can be figured out without having to contact anyone for help. When using the tools and features, they were all smooth running and responsive, with no glitches or bugs encountered.

Our only (slight) criticism is that the funnel and blog-building tools could be a little better. Those experienced in funnels shouldn’t have any problems with it, but for beginner users, it’s possibly a bit confusing since it’s not always apparent what you need to do.

Review of Systeme.io’s Customer Service

Systeme.io Customer Service

Customer service is somewhat limited, but Systeme.io makes no secret of the fact that it’s part of the reason its prices are so low.

There’s no live chat facility or phone number. Your only option is to email the support team. Having done this, we received a response within about an hour (its SLA for responses is two hours or less), our query was dealt with satisfactorily, and the team member was pleasant and friendly.

So while you don’t have the ability to reach someone immediately, you do get a reasonably fast response, and the service is high-quality.

One key criticism here is that Systeme.io’s walkthroughs and guides are not good enough. When reading through the help articles, we had many head-scratching moments because they weren’t clear enough.

The video tutorials are also inadequate – and outdated. We feel that since the platform isn’t going to offer live support, then they should ensure their self-learning material is, at the very least, understandable and up-to-date.

Review of Systeme.io’s Pricing

Systeme.io Affordability

This is where Systeme.io wins, hands down. It is, without a doubt, one of the cheapest platforms out there.

The free plan is perfect for anyone nervous about getting started. You can try out most of the features to your heart’s content without worrying about wasting money.

When you’re ready, you can upgrade and pay, but even then, its paid plans are significantly cheaper than most similar platforms on the market.

Here’s a closer look at Systeme.io’s pricing:

  • Free Plan: Free always, but features are limited
  • Startup Plan: $27/month or $228/year
  • Webinar Plan: /month or 6/year
  • Unlimited Plan: $97/month or $828/year

Paying annually lands you a nice discount of 30% compared with paying monthly. And you are free to upgrade or downgrade your plan whenever you want.

There’s no doubt customers love Systeme.io. Across all the review platforms, it has rave reviews, with TrustPilot rating it as “Excellent.” G2 has Systeme.io as one of its Top 100 fastest-growing platforms, while Capterra has proclaimed it an emerging favorite for 2022 and 2023.

Systeme.io’s customer’s biggest plus points are:

  • Ease of use
  • Customer service
  • Migration services
  • The value you get for the price

However, customers felt things could be improved in the following areas:

  • Better walkthroughs and guides are needed.
  • The platform could do with more direct integrations.

Verdict

We truly feel that despite its flaws, Systeme.io is a decent platform and worth investing in, particularly if you are a complete beginner and just starting out. We would also recommend Systeme.io for freelancers and small businesses that need an affordable solution.

However, the more advanced user is likely to outgrow Systeme.io quite rapidly, and therefore, it is probably better to use a more sophisticated platform (like Kajabi) from the outset.
