How To Make Your Kajabi Website Rank On Google?

Kajabi SEO practices are similar to those for any conventional website. However, you’ll need to take more steps than you might with WordPress or custom-coded websites. Our experts share 6 tips for you to improve your SEO strategy.

Tip #1 Don’t Neglect “SEO & Sharing” Settings

A dedicated SEO and Sharing section is included in all Kajabi websites. This includes all pages and blog posts. The “SEO & Sharing” Settings are automatically set up. However, this doesn’t mean your content will be automatically search engine optimized.

To best position your content for SEO purposes, you’ll need to take some extra steps. This includes ensuring the following aligns with the latest SEO trends:

  • Your page title
  • Your page description
  • Your page image

You’ll be able to customize the following three elements through the SEO & Sharing section for each website page, blog, and blog post:

  • URL
  • Title
  • Description

Remember, the blog posts are individual articles that each need their own relevant SEO & Sharing settings. These are separate from the settings for the blog page itself.

Tip #2 Create Relevant Meta Titles & Meta Descriptions 

Customize your URLs, meta titles, and meta descriptions for improved SEO. You can change them, at any time, in the “SEO & Sharing” sections. 

  • Page title: Page names such as “Testimonial”, and “Homepage” can be used for internal website structure and are set as default by Kajabi. Change the page title so it includes relevant keywords and uses up to 60 characters. These will align your page for improved ranking.
  • URL: This needs to be kept short and precise. If your page title is “How to Get a Free Trial To “X” Course” it will automatically show as “www.kajabi.com/how-to-get-a-free-trial-to-x-course” in the URL setting. This is too long. Change it to read as“www.kajabi.com/x-course-free-trial”. This is more precise and looks cleaner for Google search purposes.
  • Meta description: This is the banner for your website page. It should describe clearly what your site visitor can expect when they visit your website. It must include keywords that align with your visitor’s search query.

Tip #3 Structure Your Content

Well-structured content is essential for the Google algorithm. This means using headings and sub-headings correctly when laying out your content. Use HTML tags to establish your structure if you need to.

It would look something like this:

  • <H1> imagine H1 as the Title of Your Page </H1>
  • <H2> Organize the essential parts of your topic under H2 </H2>
  • <H3> Sub-headings under H2 headings which flesh out the topic further </H3>
  • <H4> Sub-headings under H3 sub-headings which break down a more complex topic further </H4>

There must always be one H1 and at least two H2 headings in your content. H3 and H4 sub-headings are great for bringing structure to the content, especially when you have more complex or wordy pages and articles. 

You’ll notice we’ve used this structure in this article. Follow this template whenever you’re writing a wordier article or blog for your website.

Tip #4 Create Consistent Content Tackled to Your Audience

Are you familiar with Bill Gates’s famous essay, ‘Content is King”? We firmly believe in this saying as it still stands true in today’s world of digital marketing. But, for content to be “king” it needs to resonate with your target audience. 

This powerful SEO tip doesn’t just apply to Kajabi websites – it applies to everyone who creates online content. Identify your niche and make sure you understand your audience.  What solution are you offering them? When you know what your audience’s intentions are, you can create content that is relevant to them.

Do thorough research on your niche’s keywords and trends. This will guide you to create the most relevant and consistent content for your audience.

Tip #5 Interlink

One of the simplest and most effective tips we can share with you is to be vigilant with your interlinking. The Google algorithm loves sites that keep users around for long periods of time. 

This tells Google your site is exactly where your visitor wants to be. It’s fulfilling everything the user is looking for. So, how do you hook users to stay longer? By cross-referencing additional articles, products, and other pages relevant to what the user is reading. 

This does mean all content on your website must be high quality. Interlinks become useless if they transport your user to a page that doesn’t give them the information they were hoping for. So, as mentioned in Tip #4 – always create relevant and consistent content.

Tip #6 Backlinks

Reputable backlinks within your industry mean you’re recognized as an authoritative website which is good for increasing your SERP position. Backlinks are an indication of who is trusted as an expert in your industry.

You can get backlinks by listing your site on Google My Business, Yelp, and Trustpilot. Reviews from these sites will help the overall growth of your website.

Guest posting is another great way of getting backlinks.  Make sure you identify other sites that draw a similar audience and will include backlinks to your online content. Always ensure the quality of your content so others in your industry will link to it.

Backlinks from authoritative websites make you more visible online and make your website stand out from your competitors. 

How Long Will It Take for My Kajabi Page to Rank On Google?

Once you’ve optimized your website content according to our expert tips, you can expect Google to take a few weeks to index it. Before submitting your website to the Google Search Console so Google can re-index your website, make sure you’ve:
